How do I change my APN server settings on my dedicated smartphone?

Modified on Wed, 14 Aug, 2019 at 5:42 PM

An APN, which stands for Access Point Name, is the set of settings from your provider that allows you to access the Internet from your phone and transmit and receive MMS messages. These parameters are normally assigned automatically by the telephone operator when a SIM card is inserted.

These parameters can be changed manually.

We found that this configuration is not automatically deployed with some mobile networks.

Details of the changes you need to make can be found on your mobile service provider's website.

  • Symptom: The phone does not find the data network (no E,3G,3G+,H,H+,4G,4G+ symbol to the left of the cell signal level).
  • Solution:   Tap the Applications button  in the AMA solution, in the Settings or Parameters menu.

Tap More

Select Mobile Networks

Click Access Point Names and create a new APN.

The Internet settings are as follows:

Once the fields are completed, save and activate the configuration of this APN.

Your mobile phone is ready to surf the web if you see one of the symbols E,3G,3G+,H,H+,4G,4G+ to the left of the cell signal level. You can then use the XpertEye solution.
