How to change Audio Output for XE Lite on Windows 10

Modified on Fri, 29 Oct, 2021 at 3:58 PM

As XpertEye Lite is a web based application, for some features, it is dependent on browser (Google Chrome) operating system (Windows 10) Settings.

i.e. XE Lite Audio Output settings are the same as Google Chrome Audio Output settings.

In order to change the Audio Output settings for your Google Chrome browser, please follow the steps below.

1. Press the Windows Key or click on the Windows Logo in the lower left corner of your taskbar and go to Settings;

2. When the Settings window pops-up, click on System;

3. Click on Sound and on the right panel, scroll down to Advanced sound options and click on it;

In this menu, you will be able to change Audio Output (Speakers), as well as Audio Input (Microphone) for each application dependent on these Settings.
For XpertEye Lite, we will look for Google Chrome section.

4. To change these Settings for Google Chrome, click on the Output drop-down and select the desired device from which you want to hear the sound for XpertEye.

Please keep in mind that the options displayed in the Output/Input drop-downs can and will vary depending on how many devices your operating system (Windows 10) recognizes as connected.

If "Default" value is selected for either Output or Input, this setting will follow the options set-up for Master Volume settings.

After selecting the desired Audio Output device, if no sound of XE Lite can be heard from the device, please make sure that the device is not malfunctioning or is not muted. This can be tested by changing the device (e.g. changing headphones) or by trying to play sound from another source.
